Olbermann Mocks MSNBC in Light of Alec Baldwin Cancellation

 

After reports emerged that MSNBC had officially parted ways with Up Late host Alec Baldwin, Keith Olbermann took to mocking his former employer.

“A well-oiled machine there. I’ve always said so,” Olbermann taunted on Twitter, linking to the Variety article declaring Baldwin’s show to be canceled.

Olbermann himself was part of a tumultuous MSNBC cancellation in 2011. After months of controversy surrounding his Countdown show (including a suspension for political donations), Olbermann announced he’d no longer be appearing on the network, with no explanation given. It was later revealed that he and the network had negotiated an exit for the liberal commentator.

UPDATE: Baldwin responded on Twitter by asking Olbermann to privately “DM” (direct message) him:
