O’Reilly: ‘Imitating Trump’ May Have Made Boehner More Effective
Bill O’Reilly diagnosed John Boehner tonight as a relatively ineffective speaker because of his lack of passion and outrage on big issues. The speaker is leaving at the end of next month, and O’Reilly said that while Boehner would have been fine in a “calmer time,” America right now is in crisis.
He was personally disturbed by how Boehner got emotional standing with the Pope but showed no outrage towards Democrats who voted against a Planned Parenthood defunding measure last week.
O’Reilly said Boehner “didn’t seem all that bothered about the direction of the country” and needed to show more “indignity.” He even went so far as to suggest “perhaps imitating Trump” would have done the trick.
It’s doubtful Boehner would agree, seeing as how yesterday he was railing against “false prophets” in the Republican party, pointing a finger at the more fired-up conservatives blasting the Washington establishment on a daily basis.
