O’Reilly Rips Into Samuel L. Jackson: He’s Trying to ‘Diminish’ America
Bill O’Reilly went after Samuel L. Jackson tonight for his “I Can’t Breathe” song telling people to stand up to “racist police.” O’Reilly scolded Jackson for trying to “diminish” America.
O’Reilly spent most of his Talking Points Memo going down a list of why black Americans “dislike this country.” He defended the U.S. as a place of great opportunity for people of color, and singled out President Obama and Jackson as two great success stories.
And that’s why O’Reilly lamented Jackson “jump[ing] on the grievance train.” He went point-by-point through Jackson’s life story and said, “Rather than diminish his country, Mr. Jackson should be trying to make it better.”
