O’Reilly’s Advice For Bolling: Don’t Have To Be Mean, Women ‘Love Neckwear’

Eric Bolling‘s new 8pmET show, Money Rocks, launched last night on Fox Business Network, and he stopped by Bill O’Reilly‘s studio to get some advice (and suck up) in a pre-taped segment.

What did we learn? “Women love the neckwear,” “you don’t have to be mean” and more.

“You want to be a media monster?” asked O’Reilly, from the comfort of his top-rated cable news show set. “I want to be the Bill O’Reilly of the business network,” said Bolling.

Well first of all, O’Reilly needed to know if Bolling was interested in having women watch the show. Of course, said Bolling. So…

Women love the neckwear. I don’t know why, I don’t know what the psychology is. Every day I get mail, ‘love the tie, hated the tie,’ but the tie, the tie, the tie. You got the little open collar thing. Nobody cares about your adam’s apple Eric.

Who knew? We’ll see if Bolling goes with the tie tonight. Since Bolling and O’Reilly are now competitors at the 8pmET hour, the FBN host wanted to know if O’Reilly was nervous. “Yeah I’m petrified,” he joked.

Another piece of advice from O’Reilly: “You don’t have to be mean. And I don’t consider myself mean, unless somebody lies to the folks on my watch.”

Also – the guest isn’t important, the viewer is always right:

Too many interviewers on television, they get wrapped up in what the guest thinks. Who cares? I don’t care what the guest thinks, as long as the guest is treated respectfully…I care what the audience is feeling because they’re the people that make us successful or not successful.

One of tonight’s ‘who cares’ guests on Money Rocks is American Idol winner Lee DeWyze.
