Pelosi on Benghazi ‘Diversion’: ‘Why Aren’t We Talking About Something Else?’
Newly obtained e-mails have reignited the focus on Benghazi in Washington, but Nancy Pelosi believes it’s a “diversion” from other big issues. When asked by a reporter about Benghazi today, she largely dismissed it and wondered why they’re still talking about it.
Pelosi has previously slammed Republicans for harboring an “obsession” with Benghazi with the sole intent of “keeping an issue alive.” When asked about Benghazi today, she said, “Diversion, subterfuge. Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi. Why aren’t we talking about something else?”
She added that based on what she’s read about the new revelations, “those e-mails were very consistent with what was put out there before.”
