Pelosi Rips GOP over DHS: ‘Do You Not Understand the Legislative Process?’

Nancy Pelosi was fired up on the House floor earlier Friday, scolding Republicans for letting their “negative attitude” towards President Obama impact DHS funding and threaten the nation’s security. She said, “You are standing in the way and using immigration as an excuse.”

Pelosi did veer into lecturing House Republicans, remarking that it’s odd they won’t accept Senate language on the DHS funding bill but expect the Senate to accept theirs. She asked, “Do you not understand the legislative process?”

She continued lecturing the GOP for a bit before concluding, “Let us honor our responsibilities and stop, stop standing in the way of protecting the American people.”
