Priebus Speaks Out in First Interview Post-Ouster: ‘I’m Always Going to Be a Trump Fan’
Reince Priebus appeared on CNN tonight with Wolf Blitzer in his first interview following his ousting as Chief of Staff. And Priebus insisted that he’s not bitter.
He said he resigned yesterday, praised John Kelly as a great choice for his successor, and said, “I’m always going to be a Trump fan, I’m on Team Trump.”
Blitzer pressed him a bit on why he resigned, and all Priebus indicated was that Trump wanted to “go in a different direction.”
He continued to praise the President over and over during the interview, saying at one point that “he has the best political instincts.”
