Rand Paul: Rubio’s Comments Were ‘Rude and Intemperate’
Likely 2016 candidates Rand Paul and Marco Rubio have been fighting all week over Cuba. Paul thought lifting the embargo was a good idea, and Rubio said Paul has no idea what he’s talking about.
Both have since fired back at each other in this continuing political battle, but it was that dis by Rubio that really struck a nerve with Paul. And on Fox News last night, Paul that Rubio’s comments “were a little bit rude and intemperate.”
He repeatedly insisted the embargo just hasn’t worked and while he definitely wants to see the Castro regime crumble, opening relations more might actually service that goal.
Shannon Bream how much of this is about 2016. Paul dismissed the question and insisted that this is just about a colleague deciding to “use rude and inappropriate language with regard to a fellow Republican and I think that I won’t stand for it.”
