‘Really? This Guy?’: Obama Goes Into Full Snark Mode Over Trump

President Obama got pretty snarky with Donald Trump during a campaign stop in Philly for Hillary Clinton this afternoon, expressing his bemusement at the idea that Trump is going to be a champion of working people.

“He wasn’t going to let you on his golf course,” Obama said. “He wasn’t going to let you buy his condo. This guy’s suddenly going to be your champion?”

He also said that other world leaders “don’t even understand how this is close” and he riffed on Trump’s “love” of Vladimir Putin.

It alarms the president how much Trump admires Putin, asking people to imagine Ronald Reagan praising strongmen like that.

Obama said that Trump is making a bet that he can win by scaring enough people.
