Rick Perry Name-Checks ‘Ronald Raven’ at Fox Debate

If this was Rick Perry’s worst debate gaffe of the night, then he is already doing far better than he did during the last cycle.

“For 30 years this country has been baited with that,” Perry said in response to a question about immigration. “All the way back to when Ronald Raven signed a piece of legislation that basically allowed for amnesty for over 4 million people and the border is still not secure.”

UPDATE — 7:57 p.m. ET: A Perry campaign spokesperson said that everyone’s getting it wrong and he “clearly said Ronald Reagan.”
