Roger Stone Pal Randy Credico Told He Will Be Subpoenaed by Mueller
Special Counsel Robert Mueller has told Roger Stone pal and radio host Randy Credico he will be subpoenaed for an interview after refusing to accept a voluntary offer from federal agents.
MSNBC’s Ari Melber broke the news in an exclusive report Thursday evening, roughly 24 hours after speaking with Credico on the air the night before, when he revealed Mueller’s team asked him to talk in New York.
“They actually didn’t call me in,” he said. “They actually showed up and that asked me to come in and do a personal voluntary interview, which I did not.”
Credico said the request was made by “somebody from [Mueller’s] investigation, and that “they asked my lawyer if I would like to go down and do a voluntary interview, and he said no.”
“I didn’t get a subpoena,” he clarified. “They asked me for a voluntary interview.”
Credico, Melber noted, may be of interest in the investigation because of his contact with Wikileaks’ Julian Assange and President Donald Trump‘s confidante, Roger Stone.
Melber said his network has not confirmed the interview topics, which are not discussed by Mueller.
