Romney Says Harris Showed She’s More Than The ‘Unflattering Clips’ You See On The Internet: ‘She’s An Intelligent, Capable Person’

Following the ABC debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) praised Harris as “an intelligent, capable person.”

Media pundits on both the left and right have lauded Harris’ performance against the former president. Moreover, recent polls and betting markets have indicated Harris was more appealing than Trump in the head-to-head debate.

Romney, a vocal critic of Trump in the Republican party, shaded the GOP nominee by claiming his performance at the debate was “classic President Trump.” During the debate, Trump was fact-checked multiple times by the debate moderators for false statements relating to a number of topics, including his false claim that Haitian migrants are eating pets in Ohio:

This was classic President Trump, a performance in the case of Kamala Harris, Most people didn’t know her terribly well other than a few clips that that were not flattering that you might see on the Internet. And people saw, actually, she’s an intelligent, capable person who has a point of view on issues. And she actually demonstrated that time and again.
