Scarborough Questions Jeb Bush’s Competence on Iraq: ‘What’s Wrong’ with Him?

Jeb Bush is having a rough week. After an “exclusive” interview with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly in which he admittedly fumbled the answer to her question about the Iraq War, the not-yet-candidate has struggled to recover. And this morning, Joe Scarborough took note.
“I’ve been talking about how smart Jeb is and how competent Jeb is. The last three days have just been really bad for Jeb Bush,” Scarborough said on Morning Joe Thursday, imploring Mark Halperin to ask him the same question that Kelly posed so he could show Bush how it’s done.
“No, it was a horrible idea, as bad an idea as sticking your face in a blender, what’s your next question?” Scarborough replied quickly. “When you make horrible mistakes in your life, you don’t repeat them!” The host then asked panelist Nicolle Wallace, who has spent time working for both Jeb and George W. Bush, “What’s wrong with Jeb Bush? This is like a mental thing, isn’t it?”
After reminding everyone that she is not currently serving as an adviser to Jeb Bush, Wallace ended up repeating the line of thinking he put forward during a non-campaign event yesterday. “I mean, he got on the phone with people whose husbands and fathers had died and so I think it’s very difficult to say, you know, it wasn’t worth it,” she said.
