Guy Who Dated Jodi Arias Explains In Interview: ‘She Was Hot, I Was Older’
Abe Abdelhadi, a man who briefly dated Jodi Arias (following Travis Alexander), paid a visit to HLN last night to speak about his relationship with Arias and details he didn’t disclose in his testimony. Asked about whether he stayed with Arias despite thinking she was guilty, Abdelhadi had a simple explanation: “She was hot, I was older, I wanted to go out with her.”
Pressed on whether he believed Arias was guilty and what he knew, Abdelhadi said he wasn’t even aware that Arias dated Alexander, and over time, when the pair spoke, the conversation would always end up being “about Travis and how it was or was not going.”
Arias never brought up any violence, he added, nor did Alexander have a reputation for acting that way. Yet the defense’s entire case, seems to be based on “discrediting” him even though he’s no longer alive, Abdelhadi asserted. “They keep ignoring the laws of physics and logic.”
Relationship coach Laura Baron then jumped into to ask further about his relationship with Arias. “As a woman,” she said, “we always like to know why men are attracted to bad girls and psycho women. And the fact that you kept a friendship when it seemed like — she was unraveling in those phone conversations. You thought she was guilty, right?”
Arias never told him she was going to do anything, Abdelhadi replied, adding, “Hang on one second, there’s no mystery to this. She was hot. I was older. I wanted to go out with her.”
“Let’s make this really clear,” he stressed. “She was cute. I liked her. She spoke well. She dressed well. I thought it would be fun. I don’t see the harm in that, and obviously in hindsight, I was wrong. But at the time, there was no big mystique.”
