Sheriff David Clarke Gives Fiery GOP Convention Speech: ‘Blue Lives Matter!’
Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke gave a fiery speech at the Republican National Convention tonight focus on law and order, as well as tearing into Black Lives Matter.
He began by declaring “Blue Lives Matter” and talked about the night’s theme of safety and how most Americans do not feel like they are safe in their own homes and neighborhoods.
Clarke said that “safety is a shared endeavor” and invoked the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in sharing themes of safety and unity.
He said there has “been a collapse of the social order” in places like Ferguson and Baton Rouge, declaring that what Black Lives Matter does “transcends peaceful protest” and engages in “anarchy.”
Clarke praised Donald Trump for his words of praise over the years for America’s police officers.
He jabbed at Hillary Clinton when he said that no one “can claim privilege above the law.”
