‘She’s Going Nowhere!’ Gleeful Karl Rove Rakes ‘Nasty’ Katie Porter Over the Coals
Fox News’ Karl Rove gave California gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter (D) no quarter during a Thursday morning appearance on America’s Newsroom.
Porter is enduring a disastrous news cycle that began when she melted down after a local reporter asked her an anodyne question about what she might say to Trump voters, and only got worse after Politico reported on a video of her berating a staffer.
On Thursday, anchor Bill Hemmer played that latter clip before asking Rove, “How’s that play in politics?”
“Well, it confirms what we know about her, which is she’s a very unpleasant person. Remember, she ran for Senate last time around in 2024 in the Democrat-, you know they have a jungle primary about there, everybody runs. She spent $31 million and got 15% of the vote. And Adam Schiff spent $35 million and got 31% of vote,” replied Rove. “It says something about it that, look, she’s an unpleasant person, we’ve known that from the day that she entered the U.S. House of Representatives. This merely affirms it, and she’s going nowhere, in my opinion, and she was going, I think, nowhere before because knowledgeable Democrats in California knew what a nasty person she is.”
“What this says is, is look, she is not going to be a player. She’s going to have an insignificant role. She got one out of every six votes last time around in the primary. Nothing she has done in the intervening two years is going to raise that number. and as a result other smart Democrats may say, I’m getting in,” added Rove later in the segment.
