‘Sick People’: Conservatives Fume Over Biden Pretending to Kill Bug After View Host Compares Trump’s Behavior to Annoying Insect

President Joe Biden ignited conservative outrage on Wednesday after he pretended to squash former President Donald Trump like a bug during an appearance on The View. Following Trump’s two assassination attempts, critics fumed at what they saw as Biden’s dehumanizing language.

Biden became the first sitting president to make a live appearance on The View on Wednesday where he spent the better part of an hour with the hosts. The interview was filled with compliments and praise, including when Whoopi Goldberg offered thanks to Biden for “everything” he’s done in her lifetime.

Goldberg blasted Democrats who pushed for Biden to drop his reelection campaign, saying she was “ride or die” for Biden.

“I always felt that you were going to do four years and then try to figure out where to go with Kamala. Then he just wouldn’t — he’s like a bug. He just kept being there, like a bug right there, bzzzz,” Goldberg said, referring to Trump and pretending an insect was flying around her head.

Biden then slammed the table as if he was squashing a bug that was there, getting applause from the audience.

“Slap him down,” Joe Behar said.

Conservatives were outraged over the moment, especially in that it follows two assassination attempts against Trump, including one in July where he was shot at and a rallygoer was killed. Trump blamed Biden and others for their rhetoric about him for the attempts on his life, something Biden rejected on Wednesday, doubling down and claiming Trump “does not believe in democracy.”

“Two assassination attempts on his life isn’t enough for these sick people,” Tomi Lahren wrote on X in response to a clip shared by Greg Price.

Others, including the controversial Libs of TikTok aka Chaya Raichik, suggested the moment could be an “incitement of violence” and asked if there would be a stronger response if Trump did the same in reference to the president.

“Is this incitement to violence? Just imagine if Trump did this,” Raichik wrote.
