Smerconish to Santorum: Is Your Answer on Climate Change ‘Do Nothing’?
State of the Union guest-host Michael Smerconish challenged potential 2016 GOP candidate Rick Santorum to explain his climate policy in the wake of a trolltastic two-step this week that found the Senate voting almost unanimously that climate change exists but then denying that it was man-made.
Santorum agreed with the Senate’s take of a planet that’s warming by coinkidink.
“Is there anything the United States can do?” Santorum wondered. “Clearly no. Even the folks who accept all of the science by the alarmists on the other side recognize that everything that’s being considered by the United States will have will have zero impact on it given the world.”
“So is your answer do nothing?” Smerconish asled.
“Well, the answer is do something, if it has no impact, of course do nothing,” Santorum replied from a landlocked hotel room. “Why would you do something with people admitting that even if you do something, it won’t make a difference?”
