SNL Cold Open Mocks ‘Entertainment’ Aboard The Stranded ‘Nightmare Cruise’

SNL took on the crisis aboard the disabled Carnival Triumph cruise ship that dominated so much news coverage this week. SNL’s cold open this week gave viewers a window into the “entertainment” that did their best to keep the stricken ship’s passengers distracted from the conditions around them.

A variety of cruise ship entertainers did their best to distract that stranded passengers, but the atrocious conditions aboard the ship distracted each of their performances. At the sketch’s conclusion, cruise director Jason Sudeikis helpfully informed the passengers that, for their convenience, just about every part of the ship had been converted into a toilet.
