SNL Rips ‘Nasty Little Weasel’ Ted Cruz in Cold Open

This week’s hotly-anticipated Saturday Night Live opened with a fairly savage sketch lampooning Sen. Ted Cruz. In the mock message to voters, Taran Killam riffed, as Cruz, on everything from his tainted victory in Iowa to the now-viral clip of his daughter really not wanting to hug him.

The bulk of the cold open consisted not so much of jokes, but of Cruz essentially calling himself names like “nasty little weasel.” All of this is, of course, just a warm-up to the universe-bending meeting of Larry David and Bernie Sanders.
