The Simpsons Predicted Trump’s Disastrous Presidency 15 Years Ago

Remember The Simpsons episode in which Bart sees a vision of the year 2030 when he’s a down-on-his-luck rock musician and Lisa is “America’s first straight female president?” It aired 15 years ago and contained an eerie prediction of what we can expect from a Donald Trump presidency.

Surrounded by advisers, including Secretary Milhouse Van Houten, President Lisa Simpson says, “As you know, we’ve inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump.”

“We’re broke,” Milhouse informs Lisa. “Remember when the last administration decided to invest in our nation’s children? Big mistake.”

So if The Simpsons accurately predicted 9/11, the Ebola outbreak and so many other major world events, does this mean we should be a little worried?
