‘They Ought to Be Ashamed!’ Karl Rove Absolutely Destroys Team Biden for ‘Still Gaslighting Us’ Over His Condition

Fox News’ Karl Rove tore former President Joe Biden’s team a new one on Monday’s edition of The Story with Martha MacCallum, arguing that “they ought to be ashamed” of themselves while reflecting on the news of Biden’s cancer diagnosis as well as the recent revelations about the cover-up of his mental and physical decline.

Early in the segment, Rove remarked that it was “deeply troubling” that “in all likelihood, President Biden had this cancer while he was president,” observing that it could have been detected by “a routine test.”

Then later, after host Martha MacCallum played clips of Biden struggling through his interview with former Special Counsel Robert Hur and former Vice President Kamala Harris maligning Hur for his accurate descriptions of his conversation with Biden, Rove teed off.

“Well, look, there’s still they’re still gaslighting this. I saw the comment by Biden’s spokesman — “The audio does nothing but confirm what is already public” — that’s not true. You listen to that audio, as bad as the transcript is, the audio is worse,” argued Rove. “You can hear the clock ticking in the background as the president breaks up a sentence, as he thinks about what his next thought might be, or what is that next word in the sentence. It is painful to listen to.”

“The people around the president knew he was not up to the job,” he continued. “They disrespected our country. They demolished their party, and they ought to be ashamed of their behavior in trying to encourage him to run for reelection and not stand up and say to him, ‘Mr. President, with all due respect, it’s time for you to leave.'”

On Sunday, Biden’s office announced that the former president had been “diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” an “aggressive form of the disease.”
