‘This Is a Man Who Wants to Be a Dictator!’: CNN Panel Fights Over Trump

Tony Schwartz, the ghostwriter of The Art of the Deal, battled Donald Trump surrogate Jeff Lord tonight over his belief that Trump is a wannabe dictator.

Schwartz said on CNN tonight that Trump “reveres authoritarians because he dreams of being one,” telling Lord that the thought of being able to “control anything” would be a dream come true for Trump.

Lord shot back by invoking President Obama‘s unilateral executive actions in office. Schwartz cries, “Talk about your own guy, stop talking about Obama!… This is a man who wants to be a dictator!”

And then he threw out this invitation to the American people:

“If they want a dictator, if they want a person who does the kinds of things Putin does, they should vote for Donald Trump. I am encouraging people who want a dictator to vote Donald Trump. Everybody else should not.”
