Transgender Comedian: Caitlyn Jenner Now Gets to Experience Life Without ‘Male Privilege’

Transgender comedian Ian Harvie pointed out on CNN today how now whenever someone like Caitlyn Jenner transitions from male to female, there’s this rather seismic shift where you go from a life full of “male privilege” to a life where you learn day-in, day-out exactly what it’s like to get by as a woman.

Harvie spoke with Brooke Baldwin about the financial privilege Jenner has that lots of others who want to transition and don’t have enough to pay for the medical procedures and care to do so.

But beyond that, Harvie did commend Jenner for “giving up all of their male privilege” because she will have to deal with all sorts of things women face that men never do, like being cat-called, “worrying about her safety walking down the street,” watching her weight, et cetera.
