Dramatic before and after video filmed by a skateboarder in Santa Rosa, California shows the extent of the devastation caused to a park by recent California wildfires.
Massive wildfires have swept the state this month, killing at least 23 people, according to police. Per ABC News, 3,500 buildings have been damaged, and in the Santa Rosa area alone, “over 27,000 acres have burned.”
The video, filmed by Jaybee Buencamino, first shows his brother Johnbee skating through the bucolic Coffey Park neighborhood of Santa Rosa on October 7. According to SFGate, the brothers had to evacuate their Santa Rosa home on the night of October 9 after the Tubbs Fire raged through Coffey Park.
When they returned on Monday afternoon, they found their neighborhood — and childhood home — leveled by the fire, and decided to film another skating video to show the true extent of the disaster.
