Watch Jimmy Kimmel Open Up 2016 Emmy Awards With Hilarious Monologue

Jimmy Kimmel opened the 2016 Emmy awards with a sketch and monologue and poked fun at Game of Thrones, The People vs. OJ Simpson, and more.

In his opening bit, Kimmel had to hitchhike his way to the awards, and got in the car with the Modern Family family, James Corden, and hopped aboard a dragon a la Game of Thrones before finally arriving. In his opening monologue, he played it pretty safe overall. Of course, he couldn’t resist a few Trump jokes.

He also managed to take down Dame Maggie Smith, which we pretty much thought was impossible, calling her out for never showing up to the event.
