WATCH: Obama Speaks on Shutdown (FULL PRESS CONFERENCE)

President Obama will deliver a statement and take questions from reporters at the White House, Tuesday, October 8th beginning at approximately 2pm ET. The government shutdown entered its second week Tuesday with Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) refusing to allow the House to vote on a budget bill until he gains concessions from Democrats and the White House.
