WATCH: MSNBC’s Katy Tur Cracks Up After Congressmen is Caught On-Air Loudly Blowing Nose
An MSNBC segment that featured a live feed from Capitol Hill was interrupted after anchor Katy Tur stopped a reporter because she was “distracted” by a congressman in the back of the shot loudly clearing his nose in a tissue.
“I’m sorry, I’m distracted by the gentleman behind you blowing his nose,” Tur interjected while chuckling.
“I have nothing to do with it,” Politico’s Jake Sherman, who was reporting from the Hill, joked back.
“I’m sorry, Jake, I’m sorry,” Tur added, trying to hold it together to make it through the segment. “OK, let’s get back to it — get back to it.”
Sherman affirmed the sentiment, saying, “Let’s get this show on the road,” which led a distracted Tur add: “Let’s get this, let’s — just surrender to the flow right now.”
After incident blew over, the two quickly snapped back to a professional demeanor and began discussing President Donald Trump’s options for border wall funding.
The nose-blowing man in question was identified by Talking Points Memo as Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ).
Sherman commented on the segment on Twitter, calling it “amazing” as the clip went around Twitter.
