WATCH: Newsmax Host Accuses Nickelodeon of ‘Transgender Indoctrination’ of America’s Youth

Newsmax host Grant Stinchfield accused Nickelodeon of “transgender indoctrination” of American children after playing a clip the children’s network aired to celebrate Pride Month.

Media Matters’ Jason Campbell flagged the video on Twitter, showing the Newsmax host, along with guest Isabella Riley, decrying the Nickelodeon clip despite Riley insisting she doesn’t “have a problem with gay people,” and Stinchfield voicing a similar sentiment.

“It seems like Nickelodeon has gone off the deep end,” Stinchfield said, introducing the clip. “I don’t understand what it is with —  not that I have anything against gay people, whatever it may be, but their transgender indoctrination of kids is just out of left field.”

The host aired the clip, showing drag queen and activist Nina West performing an original song titled “The Meaning of Pride,” during which West explains significance of each color of the rainbow Pride flag.

After confirming she does not “get” what the video is, Riley added, “I just can’t imagine it being anything besides some sinister motives.”

“But something that really bothers me, is, I don’t hate — like you said — I don’t have a problem with gay people. I don’t care about transgender people,” she said. “My problem is that you’re shoving it down everyone’s throats, and I reject any pride month that is just celebrating identity politics.”

“That is bigotry,” Riley continued — still referring to a month meant to promote the self-affirmation, equality, and visibility of a community whose members have been forced to hide their identities to avoid social stigma and suppression throughout history.

Riley later clarified she would not support a month dedicated to celebrating any topic or identity.

“This is creepy and makes me never want to have kids because I don’t want to bring them into a world where this is being pushed on them, and it’s scary, including critical race theory in public schools,” she added.
