Well, That Was Unexpected: Mike Rowe Sings Opera Live on CNN

CNN’s newest host Mike Rowe promoted his upcoming reality show Somebody’s Gotta Do It today, and ended up serenading Brooke Baldwin with some opera. Yes, Dirty Jobs‘s Mike Rowe sang opera.

Rowe actually used to sing in the Baltimore Opera. A few years back, when asked about this brief career path, Rowe explained, “I joined the opera to get my union card and meet girls.” Now, he ended up enjoying it and stayed longer than he expected, and still has a little left in him.

So when Baldwin asked Rowe for just a taste, he obliged. Yes, right in the middle of the CNN newsroom, with a ton of people working in the background, Mike Rowe sang a brief aria.
