‘You’re Doing Backflips Here!’ Cooper Battles Trump Supporter Over Racial Attacks on Judge

Anderson Cooper got a little bewildered with Donald Trump supporter Jeff Lord on CNN tonight as Lord defended Trump’s attacks on a Hispanic judge’s heritage.

Lord kept attacking the Democrats for engaging in identity politics, which Cooper found confusing, because Trump is the one who’s playing the race card here.

Lord said Trump is simply looking at liberals railing against a racially-biased judiciary system and taking it to a logical conclusion. Cooper responded, “You’re doing backflips here to interpret something Donald Trump said!”

Cooper was baffled by Lord seeming to argue that “he’s actually commenting on identity politics of others” by attacking a Mexican judge.

Fellow Trump supporter John Jay LaValle jumped in to insist that Trump isn’t a racist because “there was not racism in his heart when he said it” and it’s not unreasonable to see a clear bias from the judge.
