Brian Kilmeade Blasts Biden for ‘Going Full Hitler’ In Warning About Trump as a Threat to Democracy
Brian Kilmeade ridiculed President Joe Biden’s campaign speech given at Valley Forge on Friday, mocking his “going full Hitler” in warning about former President Donald Trump as a threat to democracy.
The Fox & Friends host referenced a Washington Post report on how former President Barack Obama, under whom Biden served as Vice President, has expressed concern about Trump’s re-electability and encouraged Biden to “bolster” his campaign.
“They obviously got some first-hand information that Obama really went into Joe Biden to try to get him to understand the power of Donald Trump,” Kilmeade said. “He says people are underestimating his popularity. And he says he grew very animated discussing the 2024 election and Trump’s potential return to power. ”
“If you look at some of the experts, they’re saying they spent $40 million to sell Bidenomics over the summer — it lost ground,” Kilmeade added. “They tried to sell democracy— It’s losing ground.”
“What’s resonating is Trump is unelectable. He is not worthy of the seat. Hence the speech on Friday where the president went full Hitler that Trump is the worst thing ever, will destroy the country,” the Fox & Friends co-host said.
“But why, If you believe that, why would you do that in January?” he asked. “Knowing that we’re going to hear the same thing for nine months? By the time May comes up, we’re not going to hear this,” reasonably suggesting that message fatigue will make the Hitler warning feel less urgent by November.
This is the second time on Monday morning shows that Hitler was referenced, though for different reasons. The referencing to Hitler — long thought to be a mockable admission that one has lost a debate — now appears to be an acceptable political debate reference. It’s hard to imagine where we go from here, alas.
