‘Children Were Murdered, Full Stop’: CNN Airs ‘Horrifying Photo’ Of Israeli Babies Killed By Hamas
CNN’s Sara Sidner reported on Thursday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted out unequivocal, graphic evidence that Hamas gunmen had murdered and burned Israeli babies during their brutal attack on the south of the country that left some 1,200 dead – mostly civilians.
President Joe Biden “said that babies had been beheaded. They walked that back. The Israeli government walked that back, as did President Biden. But this new information coming in is extremely disturbing,” Sidner began, adding:
The prime minister’s office has released, and I’m quoting here, ‘horrifying photos of babies murdered and burned by,’ as they put it, ‘the Hamas monsters.’ He goes on to say in a social media post from Netanyahu’s office that Hamas is inhuman. Hamas is ISIS. The three photos that are being released show two babies whose bodies have been burned beyond recognition. And a third that is blood-stained.
“It is a very small baby, an infant,” Sidner added in a pained voice.
You can see Netanyahu’s tweet and the horrific images here, if you so choose.
“Netanyahu posted the pictures. They were. We are not going to show them to you right now. They are extremely disturbing. And we want to make sure for the families to just make sure we’re not showing those images to you as they are,” she continued, adding:
Where you can see every horrible thing. That is where we are right now in this conflict. I think they were shared with Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who we have just been watching, extraordinary pictures of talking to Israelis, hugging them as they tell their stories of survival at that music festival. And so now we are we are getting some images. I know Hamas has denied beheading children, but they certainly cannot deny what is on video, what is on in in photos and what people have seen with their own eyes when it comes to the children.
“And no matter what, no finer point needs to be put on it, children were murdered, full stop, period,” added anchor Kate Bolduan.
Shortly after, CNN showed one of the images tweeted by Netanyahu on-air but did not show the other two images of the babies’ bodies that had been burned.
CBS News confirmed on Tuesday that babies had been decapitated by Palestinian gunmen during their Saturday attack on various kibbutzim in the south of the country. An I24 News report from Israel’s Kibbutz Kfar Aza, which quoted IDF soldiers as saying some 40 babies had been murdered sparked a fierce debate online as many critics doubted the report’s accuracy and the Israeli military did not immediately confirm the details of the report.
Other media outlets too confirmed the reports.
