CNN Crew Literally Doubles Over Laughing As Paul Begala Mocks Trump Over Brokeness and Weight
CNN anchor Kate Bolduan and commentator S.E. Cupp lost it laughing at Paul Begala’s mockery of former President Donald Trump over his weight and his campaign’s financial woes.
A new report by the CNN team of Alayna Treene, Kristen Holmes, and Fredreka Schouten delves into cost-cutting measures by the Trump campaign that includes colorful details like mismatched furniture and cheapo UberX rides.
On Monday’s edition of CNN News Central, Bolduan and her colleagues discussed the reporting, with Cupp suggesting the financial issues could be a “national security” problem.
But Begala literally doubled Bolduan and Cupp over with laughter by deploying a stream of wisecracks hitting Trump at the belt, if not below it:
KATE BOLDUAN: And Paul, jumping off of that, I mean, for all the concerns around Biden, even among among some Democrats, the Biden campaign is doing far better in the money game than Donald Trump’s team right now.
PAUL BEGALA: They are. The Biden campaign is raising extraordinary amounts of money. The Democratic Party, by the way, raised 120 million last year. The Republicans only raised 82. Democrats have $21 million cash on hand. Republicans only only have, 21. And I’m sorry. They only have 8. This is where. And I hate to do this because I know you love them. This is where Biggie was wrong. It’s no money, mo’ problems. When you’re in a campaign.
(BOTH WHEEZE LAUGHING – CUPP EXITS FRAME).
PAUL BEGALA: First off the notion of Donald Trump tightening his belt. What’s he going to go down to? About a 64 triple XL. That’s not a belt. You want to tighten too much. And it’s also terrible news.
S.E. CUPP: (HOWLS).
KATE BOLDUAN: I don’t know what to do! I come here to help inform America. I’m sorry. I am just getting attacked and don’t know what to do with my face half the time!
S.E. CUPP: What just happend?
KATE BOLDUAN: What happened is we got it, we got it. We got Paul Begala’s seven plans for error for taking me down is attack, attack, attack, attack, attack, attack. And we all love you, Paul.
S.E. CUPP: We love you, Paul. We didn’t plan that. We love Paul.
PAUL BEGALA: Love you guys!
KATE BOLDUAN: I don’t, I’m ending it. I’m just gonna end it. I’m gonna end it.
