Daily Wire Host Drops Bizarre Rant, Claiming ‘Mediocre’ Beyoncé Is Successful Only Because She’s ‘Attractive’
Daily Wire host Matt Walsh claimed that Beyoncé is a “mediocre” singer who only gained success because she’s “attractive.”
Walsh made the comments while responding to feedback from a fan on his Daily Wire show who wrote, “Beyoncé and mediocre don’t belong in the same sentence.”
The conservative commentator disagreed, claiming that the Grammy-award winning celebrity only has a career because she is an attractive woman.
“There are plenty of female singers who have had great careers, legendary careers, despite, not being necessarily beautiful,” Walsh said. “And the reason that they have those careers is because their music was that incredible. But they were great artists.”
He added, “But Beyoncé — take out the looks and she’s, you know, she’s a passably okay singer who doesn’t play any instruments, doesn’t write her own music. So on talent alone, on merit alone, she’s mediocre. Sorry to say. It’s just the truth.”
Beyonce, who holds a net-worth of nearly $800 million, is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with over 200 million records sold worldwide.

Back in August 2021, Walsh made similar remarks about Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, claiming her stardom among conservative media only occurred because she’s a “very attractive woman” but otherwise there was “no use” for her.
“As far as I can tell that’s the only reason why she was ever looked at as some sort of 2024 potential frontrunner,” he said at the time. “The hype and everything that she’s gotten from conservative media is entirely based on the fact that she’s an extremely attractive woman, which she is.”
