Elon Musk Calls Astronaut ‘Fully R***rded’ For Disputing His Bogus Claims US Abandoned People in Space

Elon Musk called an astronaut “fully retarded” during a Thursday social media argument about two people he claimed had been abandoned in space by the Biden administration.

Astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore have been on the International Space State since last June. They were slated to return to Earth weeks after arriving but stayed in space due to issues with the Boeing Starliner that was supposed to jettison them home.

The spacecraft left without them in August, and efforts to bring them home are ongoing. In a joint interview with President Donald Trump on Tuesday, Musk told Fox News host Sean Hannity the two astronauts were “left up there for political reasons.”

Danish astronaut Andreas Mogensen shared a clip of Musk’s claim on X early Thursday morning and criticized the billionaire over saying Williams and Wolmore were left on the ISS by the Biden administration for political reasons.

“What a lie,” Mogensen commented. “And from someone who complains about lack of honesty from the mainstream media.”

Hours later, Musk fired back. In response to Mogensen, the SpaceX CEO wrote, “You are fully retarded. SpaceX could have brought them back several months ago. I OFFERED THIS DIRECTLY to the Biden administration and they refused. Return WAS pushed back for political reasons. Idiot.”

Mogensen later wrote back:

Elon, I have long admired you and what you have accomplished, especially at SpaceX and Tesla.

You know as well as I do, that Butch and Suni are returning with Crew-9, as has been the plan since last September. Even now, you are not sending up a rescue ship to bring them home. They are returning on the Dragon capsule that has been on ISS since last September.

Hours later, Musk said the ISS had “served its purpose,” and it was time to decommission the station.

Hannity noted in his interview with Trump and Musk that Williams and Wilmore disputed claims they were “stuck” on the space station in a CNN interview last week.
