GOP Congressman Accuses Biden’s White House Doctor of ‘Political Cover Up’ of Cancer Diagnosis

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) accused the Biden White House of a “political cover up” following former President Joe Biden’s cancer diagnosis while also offering best wishes to the former president on Monday.
The take came after Biden’s team announced Sunday that he’d been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had already metastasized to the bone, adding his family would examine suitable treatment for the “management” of the disease.
On Monday, Jackson lashed out at Biden’s then-White House doctor, though not by name, and accused the physician of having failed to deliver “world class care” to Biden and engaging in a “cover up.”
The news of Biden’s diagnosis came amid fresh scrutiny of his mental and physical health at the time of his decision to abort his run for a second term in 2024.
The announcement was made just days after the release of audio tapes of Biden’s 2023 testimony to Special Counsel Robert Hur and ahead of the release of Original Sin, a new book by CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson touting itself as an exposé on “public deception” around Biden’s alleged decline.
