Hamas Releases Graphic Clip Purportedly Showing Dead Israeli Hostages — Day After Teasing Their ‘Fate’

Hamas on Monday released another propaganda clip regarding the status of Israelis held hostage in the Gaza Strip since the devasting attack on southern Israel on October 7th.

In the clip, Israeli hostage Noa Argamani says that Yossi Sharabi, 53, and Itai Svirsky, 38, were killed by “our own IDF strikes.” The heavily edited clip ends with graphic images of what appear to be the bodies of the two hostages Argamani says had been killed.

The clip came some 24 hours after a clip showed all three alive, urging Israel to end the conflict and bring them home. The initial video ended with a threatening message, declaring, “Tomorrow we will inform you of their Fate.”

Svirsky was taken by Palestinian gunmen from his parent’s home in Kibbutz Be’eri on October 7th. “The 38-year-old had been staying with his mother, Orit, 70, at the time.He and his mother had been hiding under blankets in the safe room when the terrorists stormed in and sprayed the room with bullets, killing Orit,” reported the Jerusalem Post, which added:

Itai’s father, Rafi, 71, was also murdered, along with his three golden retrievers. Sharabi and his son, Oren, 13, had also been kidnapped from the Kibbutz. Oren was returned during a round of hostage/prisoner exchanges.

Argamani’s mother, Liora, has terminal brain cancer and has made multiple public pleas for her daughter to be released. “All that’s running through my mind before I part ways with my family forever is to have the chance to hug my daughter, my only child, one last time,” Liora said in a recorded video in late December.

Noa Argamani said in the clip that she sustained injuries to her head and body and that her captors are running out of food and water to give the hostages.

Reuters noted that “Israeli officials have generally declined to respond to Hamas’ public messaging on the hostages, casting it as psychological warfare.” Israel believes Hamas and its affiliates continue to hold some 132 hostages taken from Israel in Gaza and that 25 have died while in captivity.
