Trump Goes On Blistering Midnight Rant At Chuck Todd Leading ‘Vicious’ Dump Ronna Revolt At NBC

Former President Donald Trump was up late raging at Chuck Todd for “viciously” leading the revolt that led to Ronna McDaniel’s ouster from a very brief stint as an NBC News contributor.
The story of former RNC chair Ronna McDaniel’s career at NBC could be told in a haiku but barely lasted long enough to recite one. Here, let’s try:
Ronna OUT at RNC,
NBC hires, Hosts ain’t buyers,
Dumped in record–
and she’s gone already.
McDaniel was ousted from the RNC in a Trump-led effort to install his daughter-in-law Lara Trump in the role in late February. Then last Friday, NBC announced the hiring of McDaniel, MSNBC distanced itself from the move the next day by telegraphing she wouldn’t be welcome on the network.
Meet the Press host Kristen Welker disclaimed the hiring at the top of her interview with McDaniel on Sunday, then questioned her fleeting colleague for about twenty minutes.
“In full disclosure to our viewers, this interview was scheduled weeks before it was announced that McDaniel had become a paid NBC News contributor. This will be a news interview, and I was not involved in her hiring,” Welker said at the top.
Then Chuck Todd led a Ronna-ripping round robin on Meet the Press, then a flood of on-air talent tore NBC a dozen new orifices, and then on Tuesday (Usual Suspects whisper) she was gone.
Trump — known for his restraint — took to Truth Social at 12:30 am Wednesday morning to rage about the saga, without mentioning the role he played in bringing it about, and denigrated the hosts and journalists who spoke out — especially Todd:
What boss or executive would allow a man or woman, in this case Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd, who was fired for dismal performance coupled with horrendous television ratings, to publicly SCOLD them as to their weakness & stupidity in hiring Ronna McDaniel. Actually, they should be scolded for hiring “Sleepy” for Meet the Fake Press, and keeping him on so long despite his poor performing skills, bad ratings, and bias. The sick degenerates over at MSDNC are really running NBC, and there seems nothing Chairman Brian Roberts can do about it. Watching Chuck Todd, of all people, viciously giving Roberts a piece of his small mind, and then berating him for hiring Ronna without his, or the other lunatics, approval, was just a step too far. Brian’s great father would have fired Chuck Todd, and all the rest of these losers, on the spot. Perhaps Brian still will. If I knew Ronna was going to troubled MSNBC, I would have advised her to change her name back to Romney, she would have had a better chance!
Hours earlier, Trump posted another rant attacking McDaniel and NBC.
McDaniel was ousted over objections to her part in bolstering Trump’s election lies and failure to denounce the riot he incited, which she told Welker was all part of her job.
“When you’re the RNC chair you – you kind of take one for the whole team, right?” McDaniel told Welker of her shift on the Jan. 6 attack.
