Trump Raves About Conor McGregor When Asked Who His Favorite Irish Person Is: ‘Best Tattoos I’ve Ever Seen’

President Donald Trump named UFC star Conor McGregor as he his favorite Irish person during a meeting with the Irish prime minister.

The two men fielded questions from the media in the Oval Office on Wednesday. At one point during the media session, Trump even lashed out at an NBC reporter over a question and called the network “one of the networks on television.”

On the more lighter side of things, an Irish reporter asked Trump who his favorite Irish person is. The president then began raving about the former featherweight and lightweight champion.

“Oh, there’s so many. Are you kidding me?” Trump said. “Well, I do happen to like your fighter. He’s, got the best tattoos I’ve ever seen. I don’t know if I’m a big… Conor’s great, right? You know, talking about Connor. But you have a lot of, you have a lot of great Irish fighters, actually — great fighters. I don’t know what that is, but Ireland’s always had a lot of good fighters. You know why? Because they’re tough people. They’re smart people and they’re passionate people.”

The recent years have been a far cry from the prime of his career, however. In addition to being found liable for rape in 2024, McGregor posted a bizarre, unhinged tweet filled with slurs to attack his longtime rival Khabib Nurmagomedov.
