President Donald Trump is turning up the heat on those who have vandalized Tesla cars and dealerships, warning of grim consequences in the wake of attacks targeting Elon Musk-owned vehicles.

“People that get caught sabotaging Teslas will stand a very good chance of going to jail for up to twenty years, and that includes the funders,” Trump said in a late-night Truth Social post Thursday. “WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!!!”

On Friday morning, Trump posted again, saying “I look forward to watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20 year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla. Perhaps they could serve them in the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for such lovely conditions!”

The crimes range from scrawling swastikas on Cybertrucks to arson at Tesla dealerships. Three people have been charged with arson for Molotov cocktail attacks at Tesla facilities in Colorado, Oregon, and South Carolina.

“If you’re going to touch a Tesla, go to a dealership, do anything, you better watch out because we’re coming after you,” Attorney General Pam Bondi told Fox Business on Thursday. “And if you’re funding this, We’re going to find out who you are.”

Tesla has been grappling with crashing sales numbers worldwide as Musk’s alignment with Trump and his role with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have repelled those who would otherwise be inclined to buy an electric vehicle.

As Musk’s political profile has grown, it has sparked a partisan divide in Tesla’s favorability, while the company faces competition as more EV manufacturers enter the market and improve their products.

But Musk has the back of the Trump administration. On Wednesday, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick urged Fox News viewers to buy Tesla stock.

“I think if you want to learn something on this show tonight, buy Tesla!” Lutnick declared on Wednesday’s Jesse Watters Primetime. “It’s unbelievable that this guy’s stock is this cheap, it’ll never be this cheap again. When people understand the things he’s building, the robots he’s building, the technology he’s building — people will be dreaming of today and Jesse Watters and thinking, ‘Gosh, I should have bought Elon Musk’s stock!’ I mean, who wouldn’t invest in Elon Musk? You gotta be kidding.”
