John McCain is supporting Donald Trump with massive reluctance. Mitt Romney and both former President Bushes want nothing to do with him. Two sitting Republican senators have stated they cannot get behind their party’s nominee.
Dick Cheney, on the other hand, is planning on supporting The Donald.
According to CNN, Cheney said today that “he has always supported the GOP nominee and will do so this year as well.”
And while that’s not exactly a full-throated endorsement, it’s certainly noteworthy considering how critical Trump has been of the Bush administration on 9/11 and Iraq and how Cheney criticized Trump’s Muslim ban.
It’s worth noting here that Liz Cheney is running for Congress in Wyoming this year.
