Ana Navarro Trashes Steve King as ‘Pathetic Little Racist’

Things got heated on CNN Monday during a discussion between contributor and Republican strategist Ana Navarro and former South Carolina Lt. Gov. André Bauer.

The subject was Steve King and Navarro didn’t mince words.

“Steve King is being the pathetic little racist that he always is,” Navarro said responding to the Congressman’s controversial “other people’s babies” tweet. “This man has been in Congress now for seven terms, 14 years. This is his only call to fame.”

Bauer took care not to defend King, but instead punted.

“What’s great about this country is that everybody is entitled to their opinions,” said Bauer. “Let’s have the conversation without immediately jumping and calling everybody a racist.”

Navarro, however, didn’t let up. “He’s compared Mexicans to dogs, he has said that Hispanic immigrant youth come in with calves the size of cantaloupes because they’re smuggling drugs.”

“As I get older, I try and be more fair and reasonable to listening to other people’s opinions,” said Bauer.

“It’s not a one off thing,” said CNN host Brooke Baldwin.
