AOC Leads Parade of Liberal Mockery Against Boebert for Gun-Toting Yule Pic: ‘Erasing Christmas and Its Meaning’
Democratic New York Congresswoman and progressive political star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez led a blizzard of liberal criticism and mockery of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and her firearm-themed family Christmas card.
On Tuesday night, Boebert posted a family photo in which her four kids posed in front of a Christmas tree brandishing enough firepower to take out most of Whoville. The photo was an echo of Rep. Thomas Massie’s (R-KY) similar photo, both posted just days after four students were killed in a mass shooting in Michigan.
The photo drew widespread mockery, including from AOC, who commented on the photo when former Republican-turned-Democrat Ron Filipkowski posted it.
“Tell me again where Christ said ‘use the commemoration of my birth to flex violent weapons for personal political gain’?” AOC wrote.
“lol @ all the years Republicans spent on cultural hysteria of society ‘erasing Christmas and it’s meaning, when they’re doing that fine all on their own,” she added.
In a mocking addendum, Ocasio-Cortez wrote “When you pose in front of a Christmas Tree and can name all those guns but can’t name the gifts of the Wise Men” with woozy-face emojis.

Ocasio-Cortez was not alone, as many other political and media figures and other verified users piled on — and not just liberals.

Ocasio-Cortez is correct, the Bible makes no mention of tooling up for Christ’s birthday like you’re about to take over Nakatomi Plaza, but it does have this to say about the “way of the heathen”:
