The CEO of AT&T has a statement out this afternoon responding to the reporting that the DOJ has demanded a sale of CNN before the AT&T-Time Warner merger can go through.

The CEO of AT&T, Randall Stephenson, issued a statement this afternoon to multiple media outlets saying he has “no intention” of selling CNN:
AT&T CEO: “Until now, we’ve never commented on our discussions with the DOJ. But given DOJ’s statement this afternoon, it’s important to set the record straight. Throughout this process, I have never offered to sell CNN and have no intention of doing so.”
