Bernie Sanders Cold Busts 17 Year-Old Iowa Climate Change Denier: ‘You’re Wrong’

At a town hall-style event at Des Moines, Iowa’s Theodore Roosevelt High School Thursday, the Democratic presidential candidate and sometime Iowa frontrunner was faced with a 17 year-old student who challenged him on the issue of climate change.

A girl who introduced herself as a a “17-year-old biracial female,” said that “from looking at the evidence I’ve seen the last few years… I haven’t seen any actual scientific evidence that global warming is actually happening.”
“Thank you for your question. You’re wrong,” Sanders said with a chortle as the teen crowd at Theodore Roosevelt High School broke into applause.

Sanders then thanked the girl for standing up, and launched into an answer about the near-unanimous scientific consensus that global climate change is real, and that human activity contributes to it. Here’s video of their exchange:
