Two people are dead, including one suspect, in a shooting situation in West Houston Sunday afternoon that police say is now over.
One suspect has been killed and another wounded and taken to an area hospital.
One victim was found dead inside of a vehicle. Another person is reported to be shot in the leg.
ABC13 reported that a total of eight people were shot: The six injured persons were two police officers and four citizens, one of which was a suspect.
Investigators say the two suspects are either white or Hispanic males. One victim was found shot to death in a vehicle. Three others were wounded by the gunmen.
Police say a fire at nearby gas station was sparked by a bullet fired during the shooting.
Apparently in contradiction to other reports, “interim Houston Police Chief Martha Montalvo said no officers were injured although the shooters did fire several times at a police helicopter,” according to NBC2.
