Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin Withdraw Divorce Case From Court

UPDATE: 1:36 p.m.: Buzzfeed’s Mary Ann Georgantopoulos is reporting that Huma Abedin’s lawyer said the two will settle their divorce out of court:
Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner will settle their divorce out of court. “In order to reduce any impact of these proceedings on their child, the parties have decided to attempt to reach a settlement swiftly and privately,” her lawyer says.

That statement from Abedin’s lawyer comes after the New York Post‘s Page Six reported the Abedin-Weiner divorce case was withdrawn from Manhattan Supreme Court. An Abedin attorney submitted paperwork signed by both parties reportedly agreeing to end the case, according to a Post source.
Right now, Weiner is in lockup — serving a 21 month sentence in a Massachusetts federal prison for exchanging sext messages with a 15-year-old girl.
This story is currently breaking and will be updated as more details become available.
