Explosion Rips Through Home in New York City; Drug Lab Suspected
A home in the Bronx partially collapsed after an explosion rocked through this morning, injuring at least one firefighter and four police officers.
A gas leak was reported this morning at 6:22 a.m. EST at W. 234th St. near Irwin Ave. The New York Daily News says that the house exploded shortly after they arrived, “collapsing its roof and sending smoke billowing over the neighborhood.”

Instagram user advocateofwordz uploaded the following video from the block, with the description, “when it exploded, 3 blocks away me and my son were in my apartment and the entire building shook.”
Police sources tell the News that a drug lab in the home may be responsible for the blast. This story is developing and we will update with any new additional information.
