The NYPD is responding to a shooting at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital this afternoon.
The most recent reporting says the NYPD has confirmed multiple people have been shot:

The NYPD sent out a tweet telling people to avoid the area:
Due to reports of a shooting incident at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, avoid the area of 1650 Grand Concourse. More information to follow.

A Fire Department official told The New York Times three doctors were shot and the gunman is “still at large.”
The hospital is currently on lockdown. We will update this post with more information as it comes in.
UPDATE –– 3:59 pm ET: An NYPD spokesperson has tweeted that a shooter has been taken down:

UPDATE –– 5:34 pm ET: New York Mayor Bill de Blasio disclosed at a press conference that one doctor is dead and more are “fighting for their lives right now.”
